Frequently Asked Questions
Is Reactivity Rehab right for my dog?
This program is designed for dogs experiencing behavioural challenges such as leash reactivity, over-arousal, fear responses, frustration, or difficulty remaining calm around triggers. Dogs with severe aggression or more complex cases may require a specialized behaviour plan.
What types of reactivity do you work with?
We work with many forms of reactivity including barking, lunging, over-excitement, environmental sensitivity, difficulty around dogs or people, frustration, and challenges staying calm in stimulating situations.
Will my dog be completely fixed after the program?
There is no guarantee that a behaviour concern will be completely eliminated in a set period of time. Every dog is different, and progress depends on factors such as their history, temperament, environment, and consistency after returning home. Our goal is to create meaningful improvement and give you the skills, structure, and guidance needed to continue building on that progress.
What happens after the program?
You will receive a go-home lesson explaining how to maintain your dog's progress, continue practicing their skills, and confidently handle future situations. Ongoing support is available as needed.
