professional training without the overnight stay
Day Train combines the structure of a professional training program with the comfort of your dog returning home each evening. Your dog receives focused training, real-world exposure, and consistent guidance during the day while you continue building on that progress at home.
What to Expect
Day Train is designed for owners who want professional training support while still having their dog return home each night.
Your dog spends the day with us participating in focused training sessions, structured learning, exercise, enrichment, and real-world practice. Skills are developed through repetition and guidance throughout the day, then reinforced in your dog's everyday environment at home.
Training takes place in our home-based environment in the Plateau area of Hull, with access to parks, walking paths, and everyday distractions. This allows your dog to practice staying calm, focused, and responsive around real-life situations such as people, dogs, traffic, and other environmental distractions.
Every training day is tailored to your dog's individual needs, goals, and current skill level. Throughout the program, you'll receive regular updates and guidance on how to continue reinforcing progress at home.
Why Choose day train?
Reliable behaviour is built through consistency, repetition, and clear communication. Day Train allows us to provide structured coaching throughout the day while giving your dog the opportunity to practice their skills at home each evening.
Unlike traditional daycare, Day Train is focused on purposeful training—not simply exercise or supervision. Your dog receives intentional coaching designed to improve focus, confidence, obedience, and everyday behaviour.
Because your dog returns home each evening, they can immediately practice their new skills within their own environment and routine. This helps create behaviours that are practical and transferable to daily life.
Day Train is a great option for owners who want professional support while remaining actively involved in their dog's training journey.

Day Train takes place in our home-based training environment in the Plateau area of Hull. This allows us to work in a calm, structured setting while also having access to parks, walking paths, and everyday distractions where your dog can practice real-world skills.
What time are drop-off and pick-up?
Drop-off and pick-up times are arranged in advance based on the training schedule and your dog's individual needs. We will provide you with the details before your first training day so you know exactly what to expect.

Before your dog's first training day, we'll let you know everything you need to prepare. Typically, this includes your dog's regular food, any medications or supplements, and the equipment they currently use. We will provide any additional instructions specific to your dog's program.
Will my dog be around other dogs?
Your dog's interactions with other dogs will depend on their individual training plan, temperament, and comfort level. We have a resident dog who may be gradually introduced when appropriate, but interactions are always supervised and structured.

Depending on your dog's needs, we may recommend tools such as slip leads, prong collars, or e-collars when appropriate. Any equipment recommendations will always be discussed with you beforehand, including why they may be recommended and how they will be introduced and used effectively.
